The state guarantees the protection of individual and citizen’s rights and freedoms in accordance with the international human rights principles and norms. The state is sanctioned by those rights and freedoms directly in effect.

Artsakh Human Rights Ombudsman Condemns Azerbaijan՝s Steps to Make Arayik Ghazaryan an object of Public curiosity

Artsakh Republic Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan issued a statement on Arayik Ghazaryans case and condemned Azerbaijan s steps to make the serviceman an object of public curiosity and a propaganda tool.
In particular, the statement says:
On August 12, the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh officially informed that on the same day, a serviceman, Arayik Ghazaryan, had left the combat position in a still unknown situation. Then Azerbaijani media reported that he was in the territory of Azerbaijan by publishing some photos of A. Ghazaryan.

Statement by the Artsakh Ombudsman on the 27th anniversary of the Maragha Massacre

    The subsequent manifestation of Armenophobia and genocidal policy towards the Armenians took place on the April 10th, 1992, when the Azerbaijani armed forces carried out massacres in Maragha village of Martakert region.In the morning of the April 10th, shelling of the village started, and then the Azerbaijani troops entered Maragha. The majority of the population managed to leave the village, and those who did not succeed became victims of the atrocities of the Azerbaijani armed forces.
